The Woes of City Life

Today, I found myself missing life in suburbia. I had errands to run, needed to get some household things and groceries. It was an ambitious list for the day. For the most part, I'm proud to live the life of a city dweller, sans car and all. But on a day like today, I missed my car and all the conveniences of strip malls and big box stores.

My sister and I are members of a city car share program, so thanks to the great minds of ZipCar, my errands happened smoothly today! And better yet, I got a Target trip in. The best store ever. Seriously. Moving to the city has made me appreciate all these little luxuries.

Speaking of city life, one thing I missed this long weekend was my Farmer's Market trip. I'm out there as many Saturday mornings as I can be, so hopefully I'll make it out there soon.

All in all, a fun, restful and productive long weekend!

Starting a blog!

I've been thinking about doing this for some time now. I'm not sure that anyone wants to listen to what have to say, but I do seem to have some fun adventures, and if anything, I want to remember it all!

I'm a self proclaimed foodie, although far from being a food snob (ok, some people may disagree about that) or food expert (no one will disagree with that!). I'm anticipating that many of my posts will be centered around food. Farmer's Market trips, new foods I'm learning about, trends I'm seeing, new restaurants I am lucky enough to experience, and the people I meet along the way.

I'm also lucky that I get to travel a good deal for work, so hope to be able to capture those adventures as well. A new city is also bound to mean new adventures and memorable moments.

Looking forward to sharing my adventures, observations, and generally random thoughts with all of you!
